Curriculum Planning Workshop:Building a Resource Collection
Workshop Goals:
Curriculum content area: History/Geography and Science
The goals of this 1/2 day staff development are as follows:
1. Increase teachers understanding of customizing a resource collection to support the school’s ongoing curriculum implementation.
2. Increase teacher knowledge about key components of lesson, unit planning and evaluation.
3. Introduce teachers to a variety of resources (to include but not limited to Colorado Project, Baltimore Lesson Plans, and Library of Congress etc.) to be used in implementing Core Knowledge content.
4. Begin researching, adapting and collecting lesson plans, artifacts and resources for the school curriculum binders and resource collection.
